My all time favorite: Spanish Harlem by Aretha Franklin. I can't explain it, a skinny white boy growing up in a very rural small town in Western New York has always had a desire to go there ever since hearing that song as a kid. I guess it is the intrigue of what is not in your hometown. Maybe God put the wrong color on me when he put the finish coat on, I think I will ask Him when I get there.

Next it would be Stevie Wonder with Superstition. Now I have to think back and find 4 more, how about if I have my secretary get back to you on that?

Come on Goose...I know you can do it! Maybe you should get your secretary to help you think of another four songs. Whenever you're ready just have your secretary e-mail mine. Works for me!

Okay Moonius,

You diagnosed my problem with crs so here goes. "How about Run away child running wild", by the Tempting Temptations, "GoodBye", Little Stevie Wonder, "Sitting on the dock of the Bay" Ottis Redding, "Shotgun" Jr. Walker and the Alstars, "Having me some fun tonight" Little Richard, "Everyday People" Sly and the Family Stone, "I'll be There" The Four Tops, "Cry, Cry Baby Garnet Mins and the Enchanters, "I want to hold your hand", "She loves you" The Beatles. Okay, thats enough. My locs are smoking.

Good job Doc... what a great list of Soul songs to salve the savage beast (however I don't think the Beatles qualify as Soul song artists). Thanks for your input. Stay tuned for the FUNKY STUFF from the Seventies!

Okay, I am a little slow but I thought of number 3. Marvin Gaye with "What's Going On". I have always wondered what is going on. There are three types of people in this world. The ones who make things happen, the ones who watch things happen, and the ones who don't know anything happened.

Thanks for the help Skipping Heart, sometimes my mind drifts back to those days but the facts are not in tune with the memories. It was a long time ago you know, unlike for some of you younger dudes and dudettes.
